The Rt. Hon. Lord Botetourt is the only peer of this realm
that is now, or perhaps ever has been, a governor in North
America.
On L---- B----'s being appointed Governor of V-----a, in the
room of Sir Jeffrey Am---st, dismiss'd.
  Now tremble Colonists! your time is come;
  From matchless genius wait your settled doom.
  Conw-y no more shall weave your silken chains
  Play with your boy, or trifle with your reigns.
  Fame send his son to curb your flaming state;
  'Tis B----t, and he is fixt as fate.
